It's got to be your car's DAC. Most of these system only access your phone as storage. I'm actually fine with cars only including an 1/8 inch port because you can use the DAC of your choice. I just got a $10 dongle from Amazon that handles DSD. I think this is overkill, but I do like that I have the ability to play files I ripped off my SACDs.
